The hour-long concerts are held on Saturday evenings in St Nicholas Church at 6.00pm, doors open at 5.30pm.

September 14th:  Index Cantorum

Directed by Mark Williams, this choir’s programme is an eclectic mix of a cappella music from the Renaissance to the present day on the subject of ‘Bells’.  It includes works by Palestrina, Byrd, Wood and Vaughan Williams.  More information is available from their website

October 12th:  Guitar and lute ensemble

Guitarists Adrian Neville and Jennifer Oborn make a welcome return to St Nicholas with another concert, this time also with lutenist Pat Glynn.

November 9th:  Cantores

A cappella group made up of Winchester College music scholars, directed by David Hurley

December 7th:  Kate Jones, organist

Another excellent musician making a welcome return for this second series, Kate will be playing music for Christmas

The series will continue with concerts in February, March and April, with the dates still to be confirmed.  The performers will be The Thomas Weelkes Singers;  violinist Adrian Adlam;  and (on 18th April) Lester Simpson and Nigel Corbett on a variety of instruments, accompanying songs with a nautical theme.
